I was raised by architects in New York City, where I learned to appreciate art and design. I went to Columbia University and learned about hard work and mechanical engineering. I spent two years at an internet startup where I learned how to build a business. I fabricated racecars, got my hands dirty, and learned how to clean them (with pumice soap and a little scrub brush). I outfitted adventurers for expeditions and learned the value of client's trust. I designed cars for a major manufacturer, and learned the benefits of process, precision, and sushi. I've climbed mountains, ridden motorcycles, flown planes, and learned to enjoy calculated risks. I've traveled through Europe, Asia, and Africa, and learned that I still have much to learn.

While your photoshoot may not require me to construct a heart bypass surgery robot (like I did in college), I think having a lot of experience in different fields can come in handy more often than not, and is certainly better than no experience at all.

So the next time you think "oh, that might be tricky" or "I don't know how we would even do that", give me a call, and I promise you I'll do the best I can do.
